Turner Reuter Inc., which trades as Red Fox Fine Art, specializes
in fine 19th-century American paintings, sporting paintings,
and bronze sculpture. The gallery was established in 1972, and
is located in the converted stables that once housed the change
horses for the coaches that stopped at what was then the Stray
Shot Inn, now the Stray Fox Inn. The gallery's director is also
the innkeeper, and many of the gallery's works of art are hanging
throughout the hotel.
The gallery is open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through
Friday (or by special appointment) and is reached via a pea-gravel
walkway under a pergola that connects the Red Fox Inn to the
McConnell House and the Stray Fox Inn.
